Salary Range: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- GP: Rs. 12,700/- Pay Band – 4

Educational Requirements:

Drugs & Narcotics Division: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with a specialization in the relevant field.
Toxicology Division: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with a specialization in the relevant field.
Biology Division: M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Anthropology (Physical), Biotechnology, or Forensic Science with a specialization in the relevant field.

Scientific Officer for Regional Forensic Science Laboratories located in Silchar, Tezpur, Bongaigaon, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat under the Directorate of Forensic Science, Assam

Educational Requirements:

Biology Division: M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Anthropology (Physical), Biotechnology, or Forensic Science with a specialization in the relevant field.
Instrumentation Division: M.Sc. in Physics with Electronics, M.Sc. in Electronics, M.Sc. in Instrumentation, or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with a specialization in the relevant field.
Drugs and Narcotics Division: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with a specialization in the relevant field.

Additional Criteria for Directorate of Forensic Science Assam Recruitment

Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be permanent residents of Assam.

Domicile: Candidates are required to upload a copy of a valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as proof of residency.

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not older than 38 years as of 01-01-2025.

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit relaxation is categorized as follows:

SC/ST: 5 years.
